School Uniform Policy
General Uniform Requirements
- All students are required to wear the complete school uniform at all times while on school premises, including during inter-school events, Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), and other school-related activities.
- Students are not permitted to change into casual attire on any school day.
- Non-compliance with the uniform code will result in the student being marked on the defaulter’s list.
Girls’ Uniform Guidelines
- Jewelry: Girls are allowed to wear small studs or small earrings only. Extra piercings in the ears are prohibited.
- Hair:
- Girls with long hair are required to plait their hair neatly with a black rubber band.
- Girls with short hair must ensure that their hair is neatly styled and does not fall over their face. A hairband or pin should be used to keep the hair in place.
Boys’ Uniform Guidelines
- Boys must maintain a neat and conventional haircut. Fancy haircuts, streaked hair, or patterns shaved into the hair are not permissible.
- Boys are prohibited from wearing caps, bracelets,friendship bands, or coloured T-shirts.
- Low-waist pants, as well as any trousers that are overly tight or ill-fitting, are not permitted.
- School-issued belts and socks must be worn at all times.
Additional Uniform Regulations
- Students must refrain from loitering in public places while wearing the school uniform.
- The school uniform must be clean, tidy, and in good condition at all times.
Compliance and Enforcement
- The uniform policy is a crucial part of maintaining discipline and a respectful environment within the school. Any deviation from the prescribed uniform will be subject to disciplinary action.
Late Arrival Policy
- Timeliness: Students are expected to arrive on time every day.
- Reporting Late: If a student arrives late, they must report to the school office.
- Parental Notification: Parents are required to inform the school in advance for any legitimate reasons for lateness.
- Monitoring Punctuality: The school will closely track late arrivals, and parents will be notified if tardiness becomes frequent.
- Encouraging Consistency: The school encourages students to develop a morning routine to ensure timely arrival, stressing that frequent lateness undermines discipline and academic focus.
Mandatory Attendance:
- Students must be present on the first and last working day after Dussehra, Christmas, and Summer vacations. Absence on these days will only be excused in case of an emergency, which must be communicated through a formal letter to the Class Teacher. Parents are advised to plan travel accordingly.
Medical Leave:
- If a student is absent for more than two consecutive days due to illness, a medical certificate must be submitted along with the leave request
Minimum Attendance Requirement:
- A minimum of 80% attendance is required for the academic year.
Special Classes:
- Attendance for all special classes is compulsory.
General School Rules
- Decorum and Discipline: Students must maintain decorum at all times within the school premises.
- Classroom Conduct: Students should be attentive in class and complete their classwork regularly, adhering to acceptable academic standards.
- Corridor Discipline: Students must not loiter in corridors or leave the class unnecessarily after every period.
- Respect for Others: Bullying or any action that lowers the self-esteem of fellow students is strictly prohibited.
- Respect for Property: Theft, practical jokes, and borrowing items without permission are forbidden.
- Care for School Property: Students should respect school property, maintaining a clean and conducive learning environment. Litter must be disposed of in designated dustbins.
- Language and Communication: Students must use polite and courteous language. English is the medium of communication in school to enhance fluency and confidence.
- Respect for Peers and Seniors: Juniors should respect seniors, and seniors should treat juniors with kindness and care.
- Prohibited Activities: Bursting crackers or playing with colors is strictly forbidden and may result in expulsion.
- Academic Integrity: Tampering with school records, including test and exam marks, will lead to strict disciplinary action.
- Cooperation with School Leaders: Students are required to co-operate with the school leaders on duty.
